[Case Study] Optimization of Automobile Suspension

We will introduce a case that achieved both improved ride comfort and driving performance with optimization support tools!

We would like to introduce a case study of optimizing automotive suspension using our "modeFRONTIER." Automotive suspension needs to balance conflicting conditions such as improving ride comfort and driving performance. The way this balance is achieved can be considered the tuning of the vehicle. "modeFRONTIER" supports the optimization of these conflicting conditions and assists in design based on the designer's values, such as tuning. 【Case Study】 ■ Software Used: modeFRONTIER, ADAMS ■ Challenge: Improving ride comfort and driving performance ■ Result: Addressing the optimization of conflicting conditions *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.

[Analysis Case] Exploration of Optimal Conditions for CVD Etching Process

Exploring optimal conditions! Introducing examples of utilizing multi-dimensional display charts!

We will introduce a case study of exploring optimal conditions for the etching process, coupled with the detailed chemical reaction analysis program CHEMKIN. In the problem setup, we varied the raw gas supply amount (SCCM) and oxygen concentration, aiming to find the operating point where the outlet C2F6 concentration and CF4 concentration are minimized, while maximizing the etching rate (minimizing the film formation rate). As a result of the calculations, it became clear that there is a trade-off relationship between C2F6 concentration and etching rate. Subsequently, we successfully extracted preferred solutions from the multidimensional display chart of "modeFRONTIER." [Case Study] - Software Used: modeFRONTIER, CHEMKIN - Objective: Exploration of optimal conditions for the etching process - Effect: Comparison of preferred solutions using multidimensional display charts *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.*

[Case Study] Optimization of Methane Combustion Conditions

Exploring optimal solutions in trade-off relationships! Introducing examples of utilizing multidimensional display charts.

We will introduce a case study on the optimization of methane combustion conditions, integrated with the detailed chemical reaction analysis program "CHEMKIN." In the problem setup, we varied the equivalence ratio Φ, preheating temperature Tin, and residence time τ to explore the operating points where the concentrations of NO, CO, and CH4 are minimized. Generally, the concentrations of NO and the trade-off relationship between CO and CH4 related to combustion efficiency exhibit strong nonlinearity, requiring comprehensive judgment to select the optimal solution. Even in such complex optimization calculations, we provide accurate consulting through the exploration capabilities of "modeFRONTIER" and our technical support. 【Case Study】 ■ Software Used: modeFRONTIER, CHEMKIN ■ Objective: Selection of the optimal solution considering the trade-off relationship between NO concentration and the concentrations of CO and CH4 related to combustion efficiency. ■ Effect: Accurate consulting provided through multidimensional display charts. *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Optimization of Heat Sink Shape

Introducing a case study on the optimization of heat sink shapes, which is crucial for CPU heat dissipation measures!

We would like to introduce a case study on the shape optimization of heat sinks using our "modeFRONTIER." Optimizing the heat dissipation performance of heat sinks is crucial in addressing the heat generation issues of CPUs used in computers and other devices. With the multi-objective optimization of "modeFRONTIER," we can explicitly present a lineup of heat sinks with high heat dissipation performance, each suited to the diverse product shapes as Pareto solutions. [Case Study] ■ Software Used: modeFRONTIER ■ Objective: Heat management for CPUs used in computers and other devices ■ Challenge: Optimize the heat dissipation performance of heat sinks ■ Result: Using multi-objective optimization, we explicitly present a lineup of heat sinks with high heat dissipation performance suitable for diverse product shapes as Pareto solutions. *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Streamlining the Evaluation of Pedestrian Protection Performance and Further Technical Advancement

Reduced performance prediction for each model from approximately 40 hours to 10 seconds! Performance evaluation possible without using CAE.

We would like to introduce a case where Honda R&D used our AI consulting services to streamline pedestrian protection performance evaluation and further deepen their technology. The company attempted to explore solutions from both pedestrian protection and rigidity perspectives, but felt there were limitations to this approach. Therefore, they tried a technique that involved machine learning to reproduce various conditions. As a result of the implementation, the performance prediction time, which previously took about 40 hours per model, was reduced to approximately 10 seconds. 【Case Study】 ■ Software Used: modeFRONTIER ■ Objective: To explore solutions from both pedestrian protection and rigidity perspectives ■ Challenge: There may or may not be common design variables in optimization calculations ■ Method: Constructing an agent that can evaluate performance without using CAE ■ Result: Reduced performance prediction time from about 40 hours per model to approximately 10 seconds *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
